STAMFORD FUN RUN
The fourth Stamford Santa Fun Run will be held at Burghley Park (Station Road entrance) on Sunday 12 December, starting at 11 am. The eve is organised once again by the Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley. Last year there were 33 teams and individuals totalling 565 participants, raising over £18,000. For more information call 01780 481320 or visit www.stamfordsantafunrun.com.
In 2008 £750 was raised for Motor Neurone Disease. In 2010 15 runners entered the Fun Run in Burghley Park and the final total raised for Rutland Sailability and Polio Plus was around £1000, including the sum of £360 raised at a Bridge Tea at the home of Elizabeth Campbell-Hill.
Club Chairman Neville Burnett writes: The tennis club have registered a team for the Rotary Club Santa Fun Run at Burghley Park on Sunday 12th December 11.00am.
The club team will raise money for DebRA which is a national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.
To join the team please go to www.stamfordsantafunrun.com and enter as an individual and nominate Stamford Tennis Club as your team.
All details including where and when you can collect your Santa suits are on the fun run website, plus you can download a sponsorship form.
Please join us this year, the run/stroll is a mere 3 miles and we would like to raise as much as possible for DebRA.
